See the numbersfrom your lab.

Most laboratories have never calculated what review actually costs them, in analyst hours, in overtime, in senior expertise spent on repeatable checks.

This calculator does it from your own inputs. Every number is yours, not a benchmark.

  • 67%Manual review work typically removed
  • 3x-4×Faster from batch to reviewed result
  • 100%Results reviewed by a qualified analyst

Pilot fit: answer the first four

Fit is scored against the instruments and CDS platforms Cuegent supports today.

Labour saving

$77,820 / year

1,482 hours at your loaded analyst cost of $105,000.

Revenue from freed capacity

$149,018 / year

+3,312 samples at $450 each, with only part of the freed time billed.

Added capacity assumes freed review hours convert at your lab's own review rate (total review hours divided by annual samples). Revenue applies the scenario's capacity capture rate: not every freed hour becomes a billed sample. Directional estimate. Actual results depend on method complexity, data quality, sample matrix, analyst SOPs, validation design, and production usage.

You stay in control. Cuegent automates data review and review prep. Exceptions and the final decision stay with your analysts.

What is the ROI Calculator?

The Cuegent ROI Calculator estimates the time, capacity, and financial value that becomes available when structured review support handles the repeatable elements of analytical report review, calibration checks, QC scoring, file identification, exception surfacing, so analysts spend time only on what needs their judgement.

  1. 01

    Annual labour saving

Freed analyst hours × loaded hourly rate. Calculated at your cost per analyst, not an industry average.

  2. 02

    Analyst capacity recovered

Freed hours as a proportion of a 2,000-hour analyst year. Expressed as FTE so it maps directly to headcount conversations.

  3. 03

    Annual hours returned

Total review hours recovered across the year, before any cost calculation. The raw number behind every other output.

  4. 04

    Revenue from freed capacity

Additional samples the laboratory could process using recovered analyst hours, valued at your revenue per sample.

  5. 05

    Return on employee investment

Total value returned ÷ estimated Cuegent cost. For every $1 invested, this is what your laboratory recovers.

How does the ROI calculator work?

The calculation chain, from your inputs to each output. And the instrument integrations that determine which reduction rate applies to your laboratory.

Seamlessly integrates with SCIEX, Agilent, Shimadzu, QBench LIMS, Thermo Fisher, and Waters.

How to use the ROI calculator?

Five inputs, thirty seconds, your numbers.

Work through them in order, results update as you go.

  1. Select your lab profile

Choose your industry and primary instrument type. These two selections determine the reduction rate the calculator applies to your workflow.

LC-MS/MS multi-residue panels typically see the highest impact; the calibration and QC review load is substantial and highly structured.

  2. Enter your workflow volume

Set the samples your laboratory receives per week and the average time your analysts spend reviewing each sample, from batch ready to result signed.

If you are unsure of the review time, a conservative estimate for a standard LC-MS/MS pesticide panel is 45–60 minutes per sample.

  3. Set your team size

Enter the number of analysts in the department who perform review work. This contextualises the FTE recovered figure, showing what fraction of an analyst year is returned.

  4. Set cost and revenue inputs

Enter the loaded annual cost per analyst (salary plus benefits plus overhead), your average revenue per sample, and your estimated Cuegent annual cost.

If you do not know your Cuegent cost, the default ($24,000) is a reasonable starting point for a single-site laboratory. A pilot conversation gives you the real number.

  5. Read your results

The results panel updates in real time. The five outputs, monthly hours saved, annual labour saving, FTE recovered, revenue from freed capacity, and return on investment, all reflect your numbers.

The numbers are directional. A pilot measures your lab's specific figures against your own batches, your own methods, your own review process, before any commitment is required.
